Culture
Puglia hides unimaginable treasures made up of traditions, breathtaking views, centuries old properties, innumerable and untold cultural heritages. Immerse yourself and be part of the Apulian way of life in order to look at this area with the eyes and the passionate heart of a native.
Visit our Spngano and Puglia pages to get a feeling for the area. Alternatively, Sud-Est Apulia can shape the perfect travel itinerary for you, enclosing authentic local experiences and bringing to light the hidden jewels of this area. An enriching discovery of Puglia consisting of cultural visits, food and wine, local artisanship, natural beauty spots, sea experiences, sport and relaxing activities.
Some of our favourite days out include shopping in the fish market at Gallipoli and swimming on the superb beaches nearby. Spending time in Lecce admiring the monuments, strolling down the streets of old Lecce and visiting the artisans and specialist food shops. Enjoying a relaxed Sunday lunch at one of the nearby farms (masserie) where the menu is based on local Pugliese produce. Admiring the frescoes in the church at Galatina and having a wine tasting in a nearby 'azienda agraria'.
